2025 Grantee

Rebuilding Broken Places CDC

Rebuilding Broken Places CDC (RBP) is leading a planning process to design a BIPOC-led regional food hub in Wayne County, NC, building on its experience with the Farm to Table Sustainable Food Collaborative. Over the course of the year, RBP will work with farmers, institutions, and community partners to map the regional food system, assess infrastructure and procurement needs, and co-design governance and operational models that enable small and BIPOC producers to access institutional markets. By engaging producers, procurement officers, and technical partners in a collaborative process, RBP will produce a research-based roadmap for equitable, locally controlled food distribution that strengthens market access for diverse farmers, supports institutions in purchasing locally, and lays the foundation for long-term regional food-system resilience and community wealth.
