2025 Grantee

New Connecticut Farmer Alliance

New Connecticut Farmer Alliance(NCTFA) works to expand institutional market access for BIPOC and historically marginalized farmers across Connecticut. Through research, stakeholder engagement, and participatory planning, NCTFA maps barriers to certification, compliance, and infrastructure while co-creating strategies to strengthen culturally relevant supply chains. The Alliance connects producers, cooperatives, food hubs, and institutional buyers, centering farmer leadership in every stage of planning and decision-making. By aligning small- and mid-scale farmers with schools, hospitals, and other anchor institutions, NCTFA aims to create equitable procurement pathways that increase economic opportunity for producers, deliver locally sourced and culturally relevant food to communities, and foster long-term systemic change in the regional food system.
