The NACA-Inspired Schools Network (NISN) is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing traditional, sustainable Indigenous agricultural practices through its Indigenous Farm Hub (IFH). This program supports Indigenous and BIPOC farmers by providing training, technical assistance, and resources to help them succeed in both traditional and modern sustainable farming. By promoting food sovereignty, IFH directly addresses the challenges of food insecurity, lack of market access, and the erosion of Indigenous agricultural knowledge. Their efforts include building strong local and regional food systems, engaging Indigenous youth in agricultural careers, and establishing fair procurement channels with community institutions like schools and senior centers. Through partnerships with organizations such as Native American Community Academy, Rio Rancho Public Schools and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, IFH is helping Indigenous producers secure fair pricing and expand access to fresh, culturally relevant produce, thereby strengthening both the local economy and the resilience of Indigenous communities.
