2025 Grantee

Farmer Foodshare

Farmer Foodshare strengthens North Carolina’s local food system by connecting small and marginalized farmers to schools, institutions, and communities in need of fresh, healthy food. Through its food hub operations, community programs, and institutional partnerships, Farmer Foodshare helps farmers access stable markets while expanding equitable food access for students, families, and underserved communities. By combining hands-on support, shared infrastructure, and collaborative networks, the organization fosters a resilient food ecosystem where local producers thrive, institutions source responsibly, and communities gain consistent access to fresh, locally grown food.
