2025 Grantee

Hall Hunger Initiative

Hall Hunger Initiative (HHI) is creating a resilient, equitable food system in the Miami Valley by connecting small and BIPOC farmers to institutional markets, with a focus on farm-to-school programs. HHI provides training, technical assistance, and aggregation infrastructure to help farmers meet institutional procurement standards and expand market access. Through summits, pilot purchasing programs, and culinary training, the initiative strengthens local supply chains while increasing access to fresh, culturally appropriate foods for children and families. By centering community voices and collaboration, HHI is building a scalable, community-driven model that demonstrates how schools and early childhood programs can serve as anchor institutions, supporting both local producers and equitable food access.
